Alfa Romeo: Always With Passion

If Alfa fans ever needed confirmation that the Fiat takeover was a lot more than mere badge engineering, then here is the proof. The second edition of this well-received book chronicles the wealth of new models launched by the marque since 1986 and the ground-breaking power units that drive them. David Owen provides an authoritative insight into post-war Alfa Romeos, from the 1900 to the sleek GT coupé available from the end of 2003. The lavishly illustrated text includes driving impressions, buying hints and specifications, together with marque information.

Alfa Romeo Sports Coupés 1954-1989

Since the 1930s the Alfa tradition of sporting coupés has been as strong as that of their incomparable open cars. But the coupés, while sometimes overlooked, have arguably been even finer cars than open-topped siblings and they have certainly had more than their fair share of success in competition. This new book, by well-known motoring writer Graham Robson, looks at the classic pedigree of Alfa coupés, from the Giulietta in 1954 to the end of Alfasud Sprint and Alfetta production in the 1980s. Well-illustrated and including comprehensive specification tables and copious information on design, production and performance, this is the only book a fan of these fine cars will ever need.

Bugatti by Henry H. Hawley

Although there have been other families whose artistic achievements spanned two or three generations, none has exceeded the creative diversity of the Bugattis. Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) was a designer first of furniture and later of metalwork. Carlo's second son, Rembrandt (1884-1916), became a famous sculptor of animals, while Ettore (1881-1917) was essentially a self-trained automotive engineer who manufactured racing, sport, and touring cars.
Ettore's son Jean Bugatti (1909-1939) designed distinctive automobile bodies, and it is his work that has most significantly contributed to the fame of the Bugatti name today. Thus, three generations of the family made important contributions to the visual arts.

AMC Cars, 1954-1987

Formed in 1954 by the merger of The Hudson Motor Car Company and Nash-Kelvinator Corporation, American Motors Corporation was no ordinary company. It was the last, and the very best, of the great independent automakers.
Highly regarded AMC historian and expert, Patrick Foster, gives us an in-depth look at AMC and its cars from its beginning in 1954 through its demise in 1987. Over 300 photos combined with informative captions show all of AMCs cars. A great reference for the AMC enthusiast!
